Arrival in Cochin. Then travel to Munnar. This beautiful hill station was once the summer capital of the British Government in India. The seemingly endless expanse of tea plantations and the year-round moderate climate make it a tranquil haven for visitors. Afternoon visit Rajamala – home to the highly endangered mountain goats, the Nilgiri Thars. Evening at leisure. Overnight stay in Munnar.

After breakfast, visit Echo Point and Mattupetty Dam. Speed boating facilities are available here. The dam is flanked by forests and a vast expanse of grassland on one side and the Kundala tea plantation on the other. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Morning, proceed to Thekkady. By noon, you’ll arrive in Thekkady. Then, proceed to Periyar Lake, around which the sanctuary is built, for boating (cost extra). This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat. Overnight stay in Thekkady.

Morning, after breakfast, drive to Kumarakam/ Alleppey. By noon, check in at the hotel. Afternoon, enjoy a couple of hours motorboat cruise (optional – cost not included) through the legendary backwaters of Kerala. Overnight stay in Kumarakam/Alleppey.

Morning, after breakfast, proceed to Cochin airport for your onward journey.
